NEU Spelling & Orthography: Rewiring the Brain to Accelerate Learning has been successfull and explicitly teaching the Common Core State Standards since 2004, six years prior to the CCSS being published in 2010.  Teachers will be taught that the most common spelling errors are within twin pair sounds taught in NEU Reading.  Students learn that the Spelling of English is more than just learning the sounds associated with the 26 letters of the Latin alphabet as in 'b' says /buh/.  Students learn that spelling requires an understanding of four languages: Anglo-Saxon, Latin, Greek and French. Students master the orthographic representations of the 19 vowels sounds along with the orthographic representations of the 25 consonant sounds from the four word origin languages.

The following characters are part of our orthography series.  You will see these beautifully designed characters assist your student through the educational process!
